The only thing that could make this place better is water and electricity. What a beautiful park! Lots of trails, peaceful and quiet, large, fairly private lots, swimming beach in the camping area, creeks, beautiful foliage, some of the spots were on the edge of the gorge.
Great family friendly campground with down to earth staff. The campsites are nice, the bathrooms and hot showers clean, and the setting is spectacular. It's a short walk from the campground down to the gorge. State Park campgrounds don't get any better than this.
We camp at alot of State Parks. This one has set the bar for all others. $22 for Non VT resident on a prime site. $1 pet fee. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They sell ice and real firewood. Cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen at any state park. Not a single bug in the bathroom. Not even a gnat or mosquito, and not one single spider web.
Friendly staff beautiful views. Great trails to hike. Some bathrooms are brand new the oktbers could stand to be updated. Showers aren't hot enough for my liking but Oh well and I would like electricity at my campsite but I don't have any.
Loved it! Beautiful campground! Clean restrooms and showers. We stayed in site 48 - perfect for 2 carssmall group of 4 .
The park is in a good location near the Quechee Gorge and some good places to eat.
